Silver Age Rules & Guidelines
- Crucial Play Rules:
- Powers
Please don't be stupid about this. Unless they're just story significant and not going to be fighting anyone, you will not be making Gods. Also, making a character Superman is unacceptable. Invulnerability is not allowed unless the character as a weakness that is common such as Martian Man Hunter's weakness to fire. No ultimatum powers. Ultimatum powers may ONLY be used as Story Points. You may not use them to fight with. If you have a power as strong as the ability to manipulate gravity, you must also include significant drawbacks to this ability such as only being able to control gravity around a short area or getting tire after holding gravitational control for a period of time.
God and Demigod-Modding
We're all familiar with this. You may not know the terms themselves but there is always someone who tries to get away with this. God-Modding consists of trying to control the actions of another player's character for them. It also consists of killing another's character without their approval, making major story plots for them without their approval, etc. Demigod-Modding pertains to your own character. It's called invincible playing commonly. Saying that your character always manages to dodge isn't acceptable. A character can't just shrug off a punch from a Hulk strength character. Also, don't do the following. DO NOT SAY THAT YOU HAVE HIT ANOTHER'S CHARACTER. Say things along the lines of "So and so shot at such an such" rather than "So and so shot such and such". The first doesn't seal that the opposing character was hit and gives them the chance to retaliate. This is for obvious reasons as well. Not every hero alive is as durable as Superman so obviously if you hit them all the time, it'd defy the laws of nature that they don't die. However, people, show some modesty. Let your characters be hit once in a while.
Changing Applications
If you're going to massively alter a character, item, location, etc, then you must either make a new application or ask a GM to unlock the old application so you can edit it and they can approve the changes. ALWAYS PLAY BY YOUR APPLICATIONS! If at any point a GM catches you doing something that doesn't apply to any of your Applications, there will be consequences.
Events and Episodes
First and foremost, do not, at any point, begin an Episode or Event without GM Approval. Second, do not ever alter the plot points and story of an Event or Episode if it was not created by you. If created by multiple people and you are one of them, still consult the others first so they will know what's happening.
Teams, Groups, Etc
To Add your character to a Team's Roster, you must first consult the Player who control's the Team's Leader. If they approve of the character you intend to use, then you may join. Do not just join a team. Do not bring a team into the RP without an approved application

NEW GUIDELINE ALERT!!!
These are how the GM's rank characters before approval. You can change the ranking by telling us it isn't the ranking you'd like for the character then powering them down or up. Afterwards we will continue to go over the character with you until you have the rank you like. These ranks simply effect how well your character should be able to perform. They are overall ranks to the character, not the powers individually. If a character does not rank at all, odds are, they're civilian.
Alpha - Enhanced Human or Well Trained and no actual Powers (Captain America)
Beta - Low Level Superhuman (Spider-Man)
Delta - Superhuman (Ms. Marvel & Wonder Woman)
Omega - High Level Superhuman (Jean Grey *w/o Phoenix Force, Storm, Iceman, The Flash, Green Lantern)
Legendary - Virtually Unbeatable Superhuman (Hulk, Thor, Superman)
Cosmic - Nigh-Omnipotent (Jean Grey w/ Phoenix Force, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Darkseid)
These rankings will also apply to characters who acquire virtual superhuman abilities through means of attire such Ironman and his suits as well as magic users like Dr. Strange.
